7BG staff only accepts the listing if the permission is valid. Invalid permission will be tagged as “listing rejected”.

Click the rejected entries for reasons of rejection. If those reasons are resolved, you can resubmit the evidence for another review.

The following are the main reasons for rejection, with real-life examples.

Cannot verify the terms

7BG rejects the entry if the artist doesn't acknowledge the following in the screenshot:

1. The person who makes contact (you) is not affiliated with the game developer
2. The custom levels will not generate revenue, but the games are commercial
3. Where the songs are used
4. The songs will be redistributed
5. How they can contact the developers

An easy way around this is to send the Permission Template. If the staff can see the artist has read the template from the screenshot, this reason will be resolved.

Cannot verify the sender

The person who replied in the screenshot cannot be verified as the artist. Please include the artist's contact information (email, SNS @handle, etc.) in the screenshot.

Cannot verify the discography

One of the two following cases applies:

• There is no link to the artist's music list. 7BG staff will do their best to find a matching artist through search, but the staff will reject the listing if (1) the staff cannot verify that the searched artist matches, or (2) the search has no results.
• Has no five songs, each lasting at least two minutes. This requirement is in place to avoid situations where you have permission but almost no songs are available. If your chosen artist falls short of this criterion, please use the in-game permission attachment instead.
