You need to:

• download the latest version of the game and DLC bundle at the time of installation.
  • If you're using an older version of the game or a bundle, you’ll encounter a version mismatch, resulting in the Neo Cosmos portal not activated.
• clear 1-X to reveal the Neo Cosmos portal.
  • We recommend you clear the base game (at least 1-X~12-X) to play Neo Cosmos.

How to install

On Windows & Linux:

1. Download the bundle matching your operating system (neo-cosmos-win64.zip or neo-cosmos-linux.zip). Both the game and DLC must have the same OS tag.
   • We recommended you download the game once again to avoid a version mismatch.
   • It is recommended to use win64 build for Windows by default, unless you have a 32-bit device.
2. Create a folder called Bundles and unzip the inner content.
3. Place this Bundles folder in the same folder where A Dance of Fire and Ice.exe is located.

On Mac:

Because of macOS security measures, apps downloaded from websites like itch.io may have limited behavior by the operating system, including loading Neo Cosmos properly. We heavily recommend downloading both ADOFAI and Neo Cosmos from the itch.io official app to make this work! Otherwise, you may encounter unintended errors that cause ADOFAI to fail to recognize Neo Cosmos. This guide will cover the manual install.
